Description:

The General Manager (GM) of a project is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a specific project or a portfolio of projects. Their primary role is to ensure that the project(s) are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. 

The GM Project's specific duties and responsibilities may vary depending on the industry, company, and project. However, some of the most common tasks and responsibilities include:

1. Developing project plans, goals, and objectives and ensuring that they are aligned with the organization's overall strategy.
2. Identifying project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, and ensuring that they are available when needed.
3. Monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues or roadblocks, and taking corrective action to keep the project on track.
4. Managing project budgets and ensuring that expenses are within the allocated budget.
5. Ensuring that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
6. Communicating project progress and status to stakeholders, including clients, executives, and team members.
7. Managing project risks and developing contingency plans to mitigate them.
8. Building and leading a high-performance project team, including hiring and training team members, setting performance goals, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.

To qualify for a GM Project role, candidates typically need to have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as business management, engineering, or project management. They should also have several years of experience managing complex projects, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
